Analysis of the socio-economic activities in Lekki
The major economic activity in the area is fishing due to the abundance of water. Since the area is made up of communities, the land use is mostly agricultural.
In addition to the beaches serving as tourist centers to people, Lekki was tipped by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to become African’s centre in the event of Nigeria becoming the financial hub of Africa by 2020. According to him, during the investor’s forum of African Finance Corporation (AFC), which will be one of the drivers of the financial hub, that is if Nigeria’s quest to become the financial hub of Africa becomes a reality, Lekki would serve as the financial services for the Africa region where those who have excess dollars, pounds, euros etc. can trade them with those who need them for immediate use. This will ultimately transform Lekki to what London is to Europe and Singapore to Asia
Causes of Flooding in Lekki
Lekki is one of the hard hit areas when it comes to flooding and the fact that the ocean is eroding in the area due to rising sea level and improper land reclamation does not help the situation. It is usually caused by the combination of human and natural factors. The human factors are as a result of waste water disposal and other sanitation practices (blocked drains by refuse, silt, sludge etc.). Another human factor is ineffective coordination between agencies involved in storm water management.
The natural factors include rainfall, flat topography poor infiltration and tidal effects the negative effects of which can be very considerably reduced by appropriate planning, design operation and maintenance of the drainage facilities.
When it rains, there is ripple, more like a crashing domino effect. Three drops of rain, the pot holes on the bad roads are filled leading to a sink hold for when the roads were constructed, sand were used instead of tar. The holes get deeper and wider. Therefore the small hole that should have been fixed in five hours becomes a huge gaping hole filled with water.
In June 17, 2004, heavy overnight rain cause serious flooding in Lekki. By morning roads and hundreds of houses were flooded. Thousands of commuters were stranded at bus stops as transportation ground to a halt and hundreds of workers could be seen trekking long distances through deep water to their offices. Although may commercial drivers withdrew their buses form the road, the rain caused traffic jam because most roads were flooded, causing the area’s open sewer to spill over into the already crowded streets. Dozens of vehicles were also abandoned by their owners to the flood.
Truthfully, when the raining season comes, everyone will be waiting and praying for the dry season, even the farmers whose crops depend on the rain.
CHAPTER THREE
RESEARCHER METHODOLOGY
3.1 THE STUDY POPULATION
Flooding menace has been identified with some communities in the study area. Ologolo Community has been completely devastated. Also farmlands in Maiyegun and Osapa London have been greatly affected. Femi Okunnu Estate is not an exception when it comes to flooding. These flooded sites have been named points for assessment.
3.2 METHOD OF SAMPLE SELECTION
Questionnaires were distributed to individuals within the ages of twenty (20) and above in the selected areas, through the use of stratified random sampling method.
A total of one hundred (100) questionnaires were distributed at Maiyegun and Ologolo Communities since both are linked by the same road, while another one hundred (100) were distributed at Osapa London and Femi Okunnu Estate.
Table 3.3.1 Showing the distribution of questionnaires in the four communities.

3.3 METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION
All the vital information needed for this study was derived from both primary and secondary sources. The primary sources include data from field work interviews, photographs of flooded sites and questionnaire use. The secondary sources comprises data collected form published and unpublished books on flood maps, journals, library research and articles. Data were also collected form discussions with people and personal observations.

Using only one ad source has been shown to be a very costly mistake for those using such services as you are.
I sincerely feel you would be very wise to add additional ad sources other then go gle,as too many visits from the same IP's will cause concern to them. With more ad sources you will be giving visitors a wider selection, which will translate to higher earnings, and a safer account.
Despite rumors,Ad ense does allow other ads, just not other contextual ads(change with topic)
They do allow product placements like WidgetBucks and also in-line text ads such as Kontera
Some of your pages may get even better paying ads if you include BidVertiser ads on them.Ideally suited for sites about finance and gambling,or sites with webmaster topics.
AdBrite ads fit any page and have a huge range of text ads of random interest, making them very successful on blogs, and running beside Ad sense.
Pogads are an up and coming agency accepted all over the world, and make payout at only $10.00,not $100.00 like Ad ense.
Never trust those with high payouts unless you are very familiar with them.Ad Sense pays only 3% of those who reach it-they steal millions every day.
While I admit I would earn if you joined from those links,I urge you to join any ad agency, even if you wish to leave me out,it is that important.
As one who as studied the matter for five years,I feel very qualified to issue this warning/promotion.
Please,if you have any questions or comments feel free to reach me through the contact links or comment feature on any of my AdSense Alternatives review sites.
Thank you.
Good Luck and Good Fortune to You and YoursMBL
WHY ARE YOU SO FUCKING STUPID!
